Every month in Australia, 90 children are diagnosed with cancer.
For those families, their lives are changed forever. Cancer puts families under enormous pressure. It can feel like it’s impossible to hold it together.
This May, I am taking part in the Heartbreak to Hope Walk to raise funds for Redkite to provide emotional, financial and practical support and care to families facing childhood cancer.

In the Memory of my beautiful niece EVA
Friday 11th AprThis May, my family and I are walking in the Heartbreak to Hope Walk in memory of my brave, strong, beautiful niece, Eva.
Eva was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia when she was just one month old. From the very beginning, she showed us what true strength looks like. She faced so much in her little life, yet there was always light in her eyes.
During those incredibly hard days, Redkite was the first organisation to reach out to my family. Eva's parents spent everyday by her side. Redkite was there with emotional support, practical help, and a gentle presence we'll never forget. Their kindness gave my family comfort when they needed it most.
We will never forget Miriam, one of their amazing team members, who would come and play the guitar for Eva. Eva loved music-especially lullabies-and in those quiet moments, you could see the peace it brought her. It meant everything to us.
Now, we walk to honour Eva, and to help Redkite continue supporting other families going through the unimaginable.
