Support our walk for kids facing cancer.
Imogen and I are walking 100km together this June, to raise money for Heartbreak to Hope, and for brave RB children and their amazing families.
At 4 months of age, Imogen was diagnosed with bi-lateral retinoblastoma (RB), a rare childhood eye cancer, and 4 days later her right eye was enucleated (removed). At this time, she was the youngest RB patient, with the smallest eye prosthesis. Sadly, this is no longer true. At 9 months, a tumour grew in her left eye and was successfully treated...or so we thought. At 1 year of age, the tumour returned, and this time required more invasive treatments. Thankfully, these treatments saved her eye, but left a blind spot in her central vision area. Imogen has shown never ending courage and perseverance, and we are proud beyond words.
Taking part in the Heartbreak to Hope Walk is our way of paying
forward the kindness and support we received from amazing people, and organisations
like Redkite. If you are able to donate, your generosity is greatly appreciated,
and will make a huge difference to the lives of children facing cancer of any
kind, and their families. Thank you x
