Support my walk for kids facing cancer.

Every month in Australia, 88 children are diagnosed with cancer.

For those families, their lives are changed forever. Cancer puts families under enormous pressure. It can feel like it’s impossible to hold it together.

This June, I am taking part in the Heartbreak to Hope Walk to raise funds for Redkite to provide emotional, financial and practical support and care to families facing childhood cancer.

Please sponsor me by making a donation to support my walk.

Together, we can show these children and their families that they don't have to face cancer alone and support them as they face the toughest time of their lives.

Thank you.

My Updates

Let’s do this!

Friday 31st May
I’ve mapped out my walking track and I’m ready to go. My aim is to walk 5.4km per day this June! Ike is a bright, funny, active, gorgeous little boy who has had to be tougher than a young child ever should need to be. His competitive side in life is not letting this new rough reality bring him down and his strength has been inspiring to watch. With the support of his mum, dad, siblings and extended family & friends Ike has a small army cheering him on. Redkite has already been so supportive of the Waugh family & their generosity and commitment to families is incredible, so I want to give back.

A bit of background

Saturday 25th May
My 8 year old nephew, Isaac- affectionately known as ‘Ike’- & his family received news on May 17th that he has Burkitt Lymphoma. Isaac is only 8 years old and while his diagnosis is new and he has started his intense treatment regime we know that Ike now faces a very long, challenging & unknown road ahead.

I came across heartbreak to hope only this week and love the idea of supporting a charity who raises awareness & provides emotional, practical and financial support to families facing childhood cancer.
